CANDICE DAVIS is is a multidisciplinary, conceptual artist from San Antonio, Texas currently residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Through primarily digital media, installation, and performance, her work focuses on engaging audiences with social issues. Davis prioritizes accessible distribution of social and politcal messages in her practice. Davis has exhibited work at The Soap Factory and Minneapolis College of Art an Design’s Gallery 148 in Minneapolis and the Reynolds Gallery in College Station, Texas. She is currently working towards a BFA in Web + Multimedia Environments at Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Davis is the President of MCAD’s Black Artist Student Union and participated in coestablishing an annual Potluck for People of Color at MCAD. She is also a representative for the college’s Student Union as well as being an active member of the People’s Library: a politically centered student artist collective. Along with the People’s Library she has worked as a project assistant with Piotr Szyhalski and Labor Camp on several projects in the Twin Cities.
